Currently based in her hometown of Gary, Indiana, Tai Adkins is a talented entrepreneur and experienced business professional. A self-starter, Tai has extensive corporate experience working with Fortune 500 companies and a proven track record of using her entrepreneurial spirits and instincts to reach success and drive results. She is currently the President and CEO of Arc Group Contractors, LLC, a consulting firm she founded in 2020. In conjunction with her work in business development, Tai Adkins is also incredibly passionate about the ways that she can give back to her community and build a better world for us all.
In her community activism, Tai Adkins has established a nonprofit organization where she is looking for ways to actively help those within her community. She is currently working on a 501c3 designation for the organization. Additionally, she is a strong supporter of the high school that she attended in her youth. As a former member of the basketball team, she supports the youth basketball teams at the school where she received her education and built her foundation. Tai is also a board member of two different nonprofit organizations, the Sojourner Truth Foundation and the Family Life Community Center.
Throughout her work and experience, Tai Adkins has developed expertise in key performance areas that include collaborative leadership, negotiation, project management, supplier relation management, indirect and direct procurement, and new product development sourcing. She has also demonstrated skill when it comes to supplier diversity program development, budgeting, business operations, stakeholder engagement, government contracting, and matrix organization navigation. She has worked in areas like Michigan, North Carolina, New York, and Atlanta before returning home to Gary.
During her career, Tai has worked in multiple industries, including Aerospace, Contracting, and Construction. She has extensive experience as a program manager and has proven her entrepreneurial talents through the success of ARC Group Contractors, LLC. Tai Adkins is a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) and a Certified Professional in Supply Diversity (CPSD), and she is affiliated with a number of professional organizations. Tai is involved with the Institute for Supply Chain Management, the National Contract Management Association, and the National Black MBA Association. She also holds her certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Wisconsin School of Business – where she earned her MBA – and her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management and Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
